Many of us decided to enter or otherwise become involved in the games development industry with intentions to better it – to further understand game design and theory to create new experiences to champion the medium to greater heights. However, we feel that the games industry seems to have been using many of the same design concepts and theories for nearly decades without discussion, debate or re-evaluation in order to improve upon what videogames are able to offer.

This is what we hope to accomplish. It should be pointed out that this blog entirely opinion-based and we realise that not everyone will agree with what is said on these pages. But that’s alright. In fact, that is good – debate and discussion regarding these topics within the ranks is what we hope to inspire, and with luck some people will take notice. With further luck, some people will actually agree.
